A indoor lighting that allows the users to interact with by touching, playing and placing it anywhere they want.
We are asked to study light sources in our everyday life and use the knowledge we gained to design an innovative lighting. Light support our daily life, it is everywhere and it is something we cannot live without. I noticed that even we are surrounded by light and see it all the time, somehow we barely interact with light. Based on that, I wanted to design a lighting to give the users a chance to interact with light.
I did some researches on things that people like to touch and play with and analyzed them. And then selected their common characters, in order to combine those with light sources on the market.
After play around with different materials and light sources, I decided to use this soft and fluffy, off-white textile and LED strip to create my lighting, Plumo.
